In the Bramblekin gardens, there are flowers that refuse to stay where they are planted.

Flutterbloom is said to come from one of those strange little migrations.

The pale butterflies are not visitors here. They are the first sign that the bloom has awakened. Beneath them, lavender petals drift downward like tiny skirts caught in a soft breeze, with a glimmering bead at the center where wing, blossom, and spell meet. The small dangling flowers below are not ornaments, according to the frogs. They are breadcrumbs.

No one knows where the flying flowers go when they leave the garden paths. Some say they carry messages between sleeping seeds. Some say they follow forgotten wishes. One particularly stubborn frog insists they are just showing off.
