In the Faewilde, some flowers spend the day collecting more sunlight than they need.

Pollenflare is one of them.

Its pale yellow petals open wide in warm weather, gathering light while a soft blush crystal beneath the bloom slowly brightens like a tiny reservoir. Above it, a lavender facet catches whatever color the evening sky happens to be wearing. By dusk, the whole flower has become a little suspended lantern, glowing just brightly enough to guide moths, wandering sprites, and anyone who has misplaced the path home.

The trouble is that Pollenflare has opinions about where everyone ought to be going.

A traveler who follows one may indeed find a road, though perhaps not the road originally requested. Fae gardeners insist this is not misdirection. Pollenflare simply considers curiosity an essential part of navigation.

It is easily persuaded, however, by moonlight, fresh pollen, and compliments delivered with sufficient sincerity.

Care Note:

Keep the translucent petals, faceted beads, and gold-toned findings dry and treat the little bloom gently, as crushing, snagging, or being tossed loose with heavier jewelry can bend the petals or catch the dangling pieces; after wear, coax any wandering petals back into place and wipe the findings with a soft cloth (a polishing cloth is included, because even Faewilde flowers occasionally need tidying).
