The Practical Magic of Making Things Right

We want you to love what you receive. But if your sparkly new treasure isn’t quite right, here’s how we make returns as painless—and polite—as possible.

🕰️ The Basics

You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. That gives you plenty of time to admire it, show it off, and decide whether it’s true love or just a fleeting crush.

To be eligible, your item must be:

  • In the same condition you received it (unworn, unused, with tags if applicable)

  • In its original packaging (if it came in something fancy)

  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

To start a return, email me at returns@fairlightbymoriarty.com. Returns will be shipped to Kansas City, so please factor in transit time when planning.

Once your return is approved, I’ll send you a shipping label and instructions. Please don’t send anything back without getting the magical go-ahead first—those parcels may vanish into the void.

Return Shipping Fee
A $6.50 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect. If that’s the case, I’ll cover the return shipping—because that’s only fair.


🔍 Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Open your parcel with joy—but also with attention. If anything arrives broken, defective, or just plain wrong, contact me right away. I’ll make it right, no enchanted riddles required.


🧵 Things That Can’t Be Returned

While I’m flexible, a few things are just non-returnable:

  • Custom or personalized items

  • Gift cards

  • Sale items
    (And no, I don’t sell food, flowers, or flammable fairy dust—but if I did, those would be final sale too.)

🔄 Exchanges

Need something else instead? The quickest way is to return the item you have, and place a separate order once your refund is approved. That way, no one (including your future favorite piece) is left waiting too long.


💸 Refunds

Once your return arrives safely, I’ll inspect it and let you know if the refund is approved. If it is, your original payment method will be refunded within 10 business days.

(Please note: banks and card companies sometimes move like sleepy trolls—give them a little extra time.)
