In the warmer corners of the Faewilde, there are flowers that do not wait politely for butterflies.

They call first.

A blue bloom opens, catches the sun in its glassy petals, and sends a little shimmer upward into the air. If the garden is lucky, something winged answers. If the garden is very lucky, it is Bluemira.

No one is quite sure whether Bluemira is the butterfly, the blossom, or the bright moment between them. The frogs have offered several theories, all contradictory and all delivered with great authority. What is known is that wherever she passes, blue seems to linger a little longer than it should.

The flower holds the light like a tiny pool of sky. The wings below carry green, yellow, and deep blue markings, as if a passing breeze painted them in a hurry before vanishing into the leaves.
