1. Some butterflies in the Faewilde are not born from cocoons.

A few are said to emerge from reflections: the blue ones from rain-bright puddles, the pink ones from the first blush of light that touches a flower at dawn. Blushmira is one of the latter, a soft-winged little presence often glimpsed where lavender shadows meet rose-colored air.

She is said to be kin to Bluemira, though the frogs insist the family tree is “more of a vine, really.”

Where her sister carries the bright shimmer of blue blooms and open sky, Blushmira lingers closer to the garden paths. A lavender filigree-style glass bead hangs above each butterfly like a tiny ornamental gate, the kind that might open only for creatures small enough to pass through without asking.
