Not all guardians wear crowns.
Some wear acorn helmets and argue about inventory.
Thimblegruff & Pibbinook are not decorative squirrels. They are founding members of the Acorn Acquisition & Storage Society for Squirrel Excellence & Advanced Planning — which is to say, they have seen things. Hoarded things. Nearly destabilized the Nutflow itself.
Suspended within silver-toned hoops adorned with tiny blossoms, the pair hover mid-patrol. Below them, wood beads gather like a carefully sorted hoard, punctuated by glints of green and pale amber light — tokens of the Grove, reminders of the Spiral, and perhaps the faint hum of Quendalith’s watchful presence.
Though mirrored in form, each carries the spirit of one half of the pair —
Thimblegruff, deliberate and dramatic.
Pibbinook, spark-tailed and impulsive.
Together, they stand not as scamps, but as guardians of balance — proof that even chaos can mature into stewardship.
Their full tale unfolds in The Nut Chronicles, beginning with Part I: The Great Gathering, as recorded in the journal of Tharnwick the Frog.
If you would know why the Spiral shifted, why the Grand Hoard trembled, and how two squirrels became unlikely sentinels, begin there.
These are not earrings for the timid.
They are for those who understand that mischief, when tempered, becomes legacy.
✨ Presence & Weight
Thimblegruff & Pibbinook are a true statement-weight design, weighing approximately 10g per ear. These earrings carry substantial presence and are best suited for those comfortable wearing heavier pieces. If you are sensitive to weight, shorter wear durations are recommended.
🌿 Care Notes
With layered bead clusters and suspended charms, thoughtful storage preserves their form:
• Store hanging to prevent compression of the bead hoard
• Avoid impact, as the wood beads and metal charms can shift under pressure
• Remove before sleeping to protect the hook and hoop structure
• Keep dry to maintain the silver-tone finish
Guard the hoard.
Honor the balance.
