The Hexglimmer Wands were once carried by a mage who believed magic should obey without question.

The wands disagreed.

Though they possessed a gift for darker enchantments, they refused to answer cruel commands or bend their power to wicked wishes. Instead, they delighted only in harmless mischief — flickers of strange light, wandering hexes, and spells that went slightly awry at exactly the wrong moment.

For their stubborn independence, the wands were banished.

Cast out into the Faewilde, they slipped happily into the Síos, where magic answers to no master and mischief is considered a perfectly respectable pastime. There, they found new purpose, whispering little hexglimmers into the shadows and occasionally wandering aboveground to cause playful trouble for anyone taking themselves far too seriously.

These earrings echo the form of those unruly relics: skull-topped wands trailing lines of crimson, violet, and shadowed crystal before ending in a final drop of smoky magic.

Some swear that if the crystals sway just right, a small spark of mischief follows.
