✨Glacianthae✨ | Blue & White Floral Chandelier Earrings

Somewhere past the line where gardens are supposed to surrender to winter, Glacianthae keeps blooming anyway. Its flower is dark at the edges and lit at the heart by a pinpoint of impossible blue, suspended above silver-toned filigree curling into the shapes of leaves, vines, and old frost-work.

Beneath it hang translucent white teardrops, pale enough to resemble thin ice, with smaller faceted blue beads flashing across their surfaces as they move. A longer blue drop descends from the center, turning the whole lower edge into something caught halfway between petals and icicles.

No ordinary field guide records Glacianthae. The few surviving illustrations disagree about whether it is a flower touched by frost or frost that learned, briefly, how to flower. Both explanations are probably safer than trying to pick one.
