Some fairies are born from wind, others from water or flame. The Curliquill Sprites were written into being.
According to Faewilde lore, their curling wings first appeared when the mysterious Sanstraight Quill traced a spiraling stroke through the air itself. Wherever the enchanted feather turned and looped, tiny fairies followed the motion of the ink, their wings forever shaped by those swirling lines.
Unlike the swift courier Featherflits, Curliquill Sprites are playful drifters. They spin, whirl, and curl through the air as if still following the invisible pen strokes that first gave them life. Their flight paths leave little spirals of motion behind them, as though the sky itself were being quietly rewritten.
Their distinctive curling wings have long fascinated Faewilde artisans. Some say the ancient designs seen in the Curliquill Relics were inspired by glimpses of these very sprites spiraling through the air, their wings tracing patterns no ordinary quill could quite capture.
Each pair represents a different sprite drawn from those first enchanted curls of the Quill:
Fizzitwist spins with the lively energy of sea breezes and foaming currents.
Coilaera glides through pale blue skies where the air itself seems to curl and shimmer.
Antiquoil carries the warm golden tones of old sunlight and stories written long ago.
Goldervish whirls joyfully through beams of morning light like a spinning dancer of the wind.
They may be small, but every Curliquill Sprite still follows the graceful loops that first brought them into existence.
After all, when a magical quill writes the wind itself, something wonderful is bound to take flight.
Care Notes:
Avoid impact. These earrings use delicate metal findings that can bend if dropped, so store them safely and wipe gently after wear with a soft cloth (don’t worry, we’ll send a polishing cloth along!).
