✨Tintinnelle✨ | Antique Bronze Bell & Purple Faceted Glass Dangle Earrings

There are bells in the Faewilde for celebrations, bells for warnings, bells for finding lost paths, and a handful whose purpose nobody has managed to determine with any confidence.

Tintinnelle belongs to the last category. An antique-bronze ring holds a single dark violet facet at its center, while a small crowd of bronze bells and matching purple glass beads gathers beneath it. They move together in a clutter of glints, tiny chimes, and the occasional disagreement about which direction they were all supposed to be swinging.

Old travelers claim Tintinnelles were once hung beside doors where ordinary knockers proved unreliable. The bells were said to ring for visitors who had not yet arrived, creatures too small to reach the door, and on at least one recorded occasion, nobody whatsoever. The purple facets were added later, supposedly because one particularly practical fae decided that if an object insisted upon behaving mysteriously, it might as well sparkle while doing it.

Whether Tintinnelle predicts anything remains unproven. It does, however, seem constitutionally incapable of being completely quiet.

Care Note:

Keep the plated metal, tiny bells, and faceted glass beads dry and avoid crushing or snagging the dangling pieces, as moisture can dull the finish and rough handling can bend the small loops or tangle the bells together; after wear, gently straighten the dangles and wipe the metal with a soft cloth (we’ll provide a polishing cloth with your item).
