Somewhere in the Faewilde grows a thorned lineage old enough that nobody remembers whether it began as a family, a flower, or something stranger that learned to become both.

Its two best-known daughters are Thornaria and Lacrythorn.

Thornaria, the Rose Sister, carries the lineage in bloom. Dusty rose glass glows above antique bronze filigree while smaller pink beads descend through a crescent of individually set rhinestones. Her thorns hang beneath like the stems of an extravagant bouquet turned suddenly downward, long and deliberate and much too sharp-looking to dismiss as decoration. Old stories describe Thornaria roses as impossibly beautiful things whose thorns grow tiny jewels instead of dew, although anyone attempting to gather one is advised to remember that jeweled thorns remain thorns.

Lacrythorn, the Dark Sister, is what that same lineage becomes after nightfall. Black faceted glass sits above bronze petals darkened with nearly black stones, while rhinestones hidden through the setting reveal themselves in flashes of deep wine and blood-red whenever the light finds them. If Thornaria is the rose offered with one hand while the other conceals a blade, Lacrythorn is the moment after everyone has stopped pretending the blade was ever concealed.

Neither sister holds rank over the other. The Faewilde has never required crowns to understand lineage, nor titles to recognize those whose stories have lasted longer than the people telling them. They are simply known together as The Thorneliers: two daughters of the same ancient briar, one remembered in blossom and the other in shadow.

Two sisters. One thorned lineage. Entirely different ideas about what should happen when someone reaches for the roses.

Every rose inherits its thorns.

At approximately 12g per earring, The Thorneliers sit at the upper edge of Fairlight’s Statement Weight range. Their presence is substantial and intentional, better suited to those who already know they enjoy the delicious drama of a heavier earring.

Care & Delicacy Warning

Treat The Thorneliers like tiny chandeliers: their many individually set rhinestones make them delicate, so avoid knocks, drops, rubbing, or storing them loose where a stone could be dislodged; keep them dry, store them hanging or separately cushioned with the spike fringe straight, and gently wipe them after wear with the polishing cloth we’ll provide.
