The Yellowjackets did not leave many relics behind.

Most of what they carried into battle was hidden, destroyed, or swallowed back into the Faewilde before human hands could find it. But now and then, something turns up where it should not: tucked beneath black roots, buried under old stone, glinting faintly in the dark as though it has been waiting for someone bold enough to notice.

Shadowglint feels like one of those surviving pieces.

Black onyx moves through the strand like polished shadow, steady and watchful. Faceted pyrite catches the light in sharp metallic flashes, like sparks from a hidden blade or armor glimpsed beneath a cloak. Together, the stones create the mood of a warrior’s glamour: not loud, not ornamental, but meant to draw the eye only when it chooses.

In the old stories, pieces like this were worn by fae scouts who crossed dangerous borders, carrying messages through thorn, moonless paths, and hostile territory. The darkness helped them disappear. The glint reminded anyone watching that disappearance was not the same as weakness.

Somewhere in the Faewilde, a shadow still sharpens its edge.
