Lotusreach is not the name of a flower. It is the place where the water garden stops behaving like a garden.

There, old silverwork rises from the pond in curling arches, more trellis than branch and more relic than either. A single violet glimmer hangs within the open center, while below it trail five faceted drops in young-leaf green, smoky blue, and shifting iridescence. The longest hangs at the center, changing from gray to green to violet as the light moves across it.

The lotuses of the Reach are said to grow in both directions. Their leaves spread across the surface as expected, but beneath them descend stranger gardens, all trailing stems and jeweled colors reaching toward whatever sky the water has made for itself. At dusk, it becomes difficult to tell whether the colors below are flowers, reflections, or something watching the daylight leave.

No map marks the edge of Lotusreach. Apparently water gardens object to boundaries.
