When the Faewilde holds a lantern procession, no one is entirely sure who is leading it.
The lights drift first. The music follows if it remembers. The frogs arrive late, claim they were essential to the ceremony, and immediately begin arguing about whose lantern is brightest.
Lanternflare is said to come from one of those little firelit wanderings.
At the top, warm orange filigree-style glass beads glow like carved lantern clouds, their swirls catching the light in tiny curls. Below them, deep red square beads hold golden starbursts, bright as sparks pressed into glass before they could escape. The final drops fall in honeyed orange, like the last flare of evening stretching toward the path.
No one knows what the lantern procession celebrates. Some say harvest. Some say summer’s last laugh. Some say the lights gather simply because the dark gets boring if no one decorates it.
For little lights that refuse to stay still. ✨
Care Notes:
Keep dry, as moisture and chemicals can dull the gold-tone metal and glass finishes; wipe gently after wear and store separately so the stacked beads do not scratch, with a polishing cloth included.
