He was born in a falling drop of water, just after it slipped from the curved edge of a lily leaf and just before it struck the pond below. For most creatures, that moment is too small to live in. For Flipperfall, it was plenty of time to stretch, blink, decide he liked the view, and declare himself responsible for all future descents.

Ever since, he has been the Faewilde’s foremost expert in falling gracefully.

Rain beads, dew drops, loose petals, startled beetles, overconfident tadpoles—if something tumbles toward the water, Flipperfall is watching. Sometimes he catches it. Sometimes he cheers. Sometimes he claims the splash was “artistically necessary.” No one has successfully argued with him, partly because he is very small and partly because he is already hopping away by the time they begin.

Flipperfall is strung with smooth green jade, softly translucent prehnite, and tiny faceted green glass accents that catch the light like pond ripples under a sudden sunbeam.
