There is a moment in the Faewilde when daytime does not end all at once.

It loosens itself slowly.

First, the gold light lingers in the high branches. Then a red spark appears at the edge of the sky, bright and brief, as if the sun has left one last mark before slipping away. A pale bird crosses through it, carrying the final white shimmer of afternoon on its wings.

Below, twilight waits in blue.

Dayfall Flutter belongs to that small passing-over: the hush between daylight and dusk, when one kind of wing gives way to another. The bird holds the last pale glow of the day, while the butterfly below opens into deep blue, red, and shadow, as though evening has learned how to fly.

The frogs claim this is how sunset travels through the garden: not by sinking, but by fluttering downward in pieces.
