In the warmer reaches of the Faewilde, there grows a pale flowering vine known for opening only when something dangerous passes nearby. Most creatures avoid it. Dangeretina does not.

These small watchers gather beneath its blossoms, where they thread fallen petals and beads of smoky glass above a single great eye. Their irises burn in cream, yellow, and magenta around a narrow black pupil, bright enough to resemble a flower until the pupil turns toward you.

No one agrees on whether Dangeretina serves as guardian, warning, or lure. Some say it watches the paths for approaching predators. Others insist the predators follow wherever it looks. The only certainty is that once its gaze settles, the nearby blossoms begin to close.

Pretty enough to approach. Watchful enough to regret it.
