Classique is said to descend from one of the oldest ornamental patterns still used in the Faewilde.

No one remembers which artisan first drew it.

Some say it began as the shape of curling fern tips copied into silver. Others insist it came from the tracery around an ancient mirror that once showed visitors not their faces, but the version of themselves they might become. Whatever its origin, the pattern endured. Generations of fae metalworkers copied its mirrored curves, refining them so carefully that eventually no one could say where the original ended and tradition began.

At the heart of Classique, that old silver scrollwork remains.

Above it hangs an iridescent faceted prism, bright with fleeting flashes of pink, gold, blue, and spectral white. Fae artisans call such pieces changeglass, not because the glass itself transforms, but because it refuses to look exactly the same twice. It represents everything fashion, fortune, and time are free to alter.

Below, a long lavender shard balances the design with a quieter kind of magic. Pale violet glass narrows into a precise point, traditionally associated with discernment: the ability to recognize what is merely new from what is genuinely beautiful.

For that reason, Classique was never considered an old-fashioned design in the Faewilde. Quite the opposite.

It was worn by those who understood that novelty and elegance are not the same thing.

Styles arrive from distant paths, burn brightly for a season, and disappear again. Colors change. Embellishments multiply and vanish. Even the creatures wearing them eventually become stories.
