In the Faewilde, the first flowers of spring are not always flowers.
Some are scouts.
They rise quietly from the damp ground, pale and careful, wearing white petals like small cloaks and carrying a green glow beneath them. The frogs call them bellwisps, though no one has ever heard one ring. They appear where winter has thinned but not quite vanished, drifting low beneath leaves and roots as if checking whether the world is ready to soften.
Bellwisp belongs to that early, hush-bright season.
White petal shapes spread outward like a tiny flower-bell, held beneath silver-tone floral caps and cool faceted beads. Below, green glass drops glow through the petals like little spring lanterns, the kind that might guide a seedling upward or persuade frost to loosen its grip.
The frogs insist bellwisps are harmless. They also insist that any flower capable of moving on its own should be addressed politely.
Where spring arrives quietly. ✨
Care Notes:
Keep dry, as moisture and chemicals can dull the silver-tone metal, floral caps, and glass finish; wipe gently after wear and store separately so the petal shapes do not scratch or catch, with a polishing cloth included.
