Baroquille | Brown Faceted Glass & Rose Gold Filigree Drop Earrings

There are ruins that lose their roofs, their doors, their names.

And then there are ruins that somehow keep their decoration.

Baroquille is said to come from the latter.

Long after a grand old house had emptied and its halls had gone silent, the carved panels along its walls began to loosen. Scrolls of metal curled away from mirrors, frames, balconies, and forgotten little alcoves, retaining the shapes of vines and flourishes long after anyone remembered what they had been meant to adorn. Most were swept away with the dust.

A few were not.

The rose-gold scrollwork of Baroquille twists in mirrored curves above warm brown faceted glass, as though some fragment of the old ornament took root and learned to grow downward. The drops are the color of polished wood, old tea, ambered varnish, and sunlight caught in a room that has not opened its shutters in years.

According to the stories, these shards formed wherever the house remembered beauty most strongly. Beneath a gilded mirror. Beside a staircase worn smooth by generations of hands. Under the molding of a room where music once played every evening. Ornament became memory, memory became weight, and eventually the weight crystallized.

No one agrees on whether Baroquille preserves those memories or merely carries their shape.

Perhaps it does not matter.

Some places vanish completely. Others leave behind one impossible curl of metal, one warm shard of light, and the stubborn suggestion that elegance can outlive almost everything built around it.

Some ruins crumble. Others keep their flourishes.

Keep dry and avoid perfume, lotions, and sprays directly on the earrings, as moisture and chemicals can dull the faceted glass and rose-gold-tone metal finish; wipe gently with a soft cloth after wear (a polishing cloth is included with every purchase).
