✨Two Scamps in the Faewilde✨

✨Two Scamps in the Faewilde✨

There are creatures in the Faewilde who guard gates, carry messages, tend moonlit gardens, or keep watch over lost treasures.

And then there are the Scamps.

No one has ever been able to prove that Scampwood and Scampstone are responsible for the missing fruit, the rearranged trail markers, the acorn pile in Tharnwick’s favorite thinking spot, or the mysterious scratches found halfway up a tree no frog had any business inspecting.

Unfortunately for them, no one has ever been able to prove they are innocent either.

The two are often mistaken for twins, though they would strongly object to being treated as interchangeable. They share the same bright-eyed monkey shape, the same talent for appearing exactly where they are not expected, and the same general disregard for staying put. But their methods are entirely different.

Scampwood is all warmth, bark, canopy, and sudden motion. Made with tri-color tiger’s eye, coconut shell accents, and a glossy blue goldstone monkey pendant, he belongs to the tangled green-brown places where branches overlap and sunlight breaks through in quick golden flashes. His colors feel like forest paths, hidden snacks, and something clever vanishing behind a trunk just before you turn your head.

He is the sort of creature who climbs first and explains later.

The tiger’s eye brings golden, reddish, and shadowy tones to the strand, with little flashes that feel perfectly suited to a monkey who is almost certainly up to something. Coconut shell adds a grounded woodland texture, while the blue goldstone pendant gives him that suspicious sparkle of someone who has absolutely not learned his lesson.

Scampstone, on the other hand, does not waste energy crashing through leaves.

He waits.

Cool hematite gives him a sleek gray gleam, while clear quartz brings a colder, quieter brightness. Where Scampwood swings through branches, Scampstone lounges on cliff edges, stone outcrops, and shadowed ledges, watching the entire situation unfold before choosing the most inconvenient possible moment to interfere.

If Scampwood is the daredevil, Scampstone is the strategist.

He is not less troublesome. He is simply better at looking innocent before the trouble begins.

Together, the two Scamps form one of the stranger little pairings to emerge from the Faewilde: one warm and woodsy, one cool and stony; one all motion, one all calculation; one likely to drop a pinecone on your head, the other likely to convince you the pinecone was your idea.

Tharnwick, naturally, denies having favorites.

This is wise of him.

The Scamps are not guardians in the usual sense. They do not stand solemnly at thresholds or hum with ancient prophecy. They are not noble sentinels, sacred beasts, or appointed caretakers of anything sensible. But they do have a purpose, even if that purpose occasionally involves stolen berries and dramatic exits.

They remind the Faewilde not to become too serious.

Every realm needs its mysteries, its relics, its shadowed gates and moonlit vows. But it also needs laughter in the branches. It needs the flash of something ridiculous and bright. It needs a little movement in the corner of the eye, a little chaos in the moss, a little proof that magic does not always arrive with a crown and a prophecy.

Sometimes it arrives as a monkey pendant.

Sometimes two.

Scampwood and Scampstone are handmade gemstone necklaces for anyone who likes their jewelry with personality, contrast, and a small but unmistakable streak of trouble. One carries the warmth of tiger’s eye, coconut shell, and blue goldstone. The other pairs hematite and clear quartz in a cooler, sleeker design. Both belong to the wilder corners of the Fairlight by Moriarty world, where the creatures are clever, the trees are watching, and the shiny things may have moved since you last looked.

Somewhere in the Faewilde, a branch is shaking.

Somewhere else, a stone ledge is suddenly empty.

And somewhere between the two, Tharnwick is sighing into a lily pad.
