Their petals turn toward passages invisible to other eyes, shifting as old crossings close and new ones briefly open. A \u003cem\u003eRavenant\u003c\/em\u003e can read every subtle tilt and unfurling, following the flowers through places where north, south, distance, and direction have ceased to mean very much at all.
